Binary Wave

Binary Wave is a view into a space consisting of two celestial bodies and what it looks like for them to share the same space.

As they move from their origins they begin to work together to increase the light in the visible area. The wave serves to represent the chaos of life as time moves forward.

Binary Wave was shown at the Menil Collection during the Aurora Picture Show’s annual Bring Your Own Beamer event in 2024.

Music is for demo purposes only and is not part of the original experience. Track is “Little Warm Thing” by Michael Price.

Binary Wave is built with p5.js with a MIDI controller feeding user interactions in the experience. An audio signal is fed into the experience adjusting the stars in the background.
