Oh, hello there

I have been working in the design industry since 2003. Straight out of school I went into motion graphics and audio/video editing (I made really obnoxious car commercials for the Houston automotive market). I am sorry if something I made woke you up telling you to buy a car, gotta pay the bills. Later, I moved into a more traditional graphic/web design role, all the while learning about building stuff on the web.
What started out as a way to make money on the side with freelance work became something I grew a passion for. The more I learned the more I got excited about what was possible. Today, my days are spent between coding, leading a team of developers and advising clients on how to achieve their goals on the web.
While the web consumes a lot of my life, I try to find a balance between spending time with my family, trying to be a better runner, learning how to make a good latte and trying to make the world a better place.
